A major university was struggling with an odor problem near a dining hall that feeds thousands of students each day. The grease interceptor was emitting H2S (hydrogen sulfide) gas that students and staff couldn’t help but notice. Routine pumping alone was not able to solve the problem, in fact the odor was even worse after pump outs, and often carried into the cafeteria. Given the potential impact to the campus and its image, the Facilities Management team asked for my help. After a site survey, we decided to install our Odor Punch system to prevent the odor from forming. This systems automatically injects a solution into the interceptor every day that essentially that eliminates the odor, not just masking it. The system not only took care of the problem, but now we are looking to install Odor Punch at other dining locations throughout the university network.

Working in urban areas obviously means helping customers in high rise buildings. One problem they all struggle with is their trash chutes and the unpleasant smells that surround these areas. A customer of mine in Uptown Dallas was in charge of an upscale 10 story residential facility. This property had received several complaints from tenants about the odor surrounding the trash chute. My customer tried a multitude of products in an attempt to eliminate complaints about the smell and the Texas summer heat only amplified the problem. I installed an XSTINK system inside their trash chute and the problem was eliminated. Due to the fact that we were able to customize the XSTINK system to the exact design and calculate usage, we were able to tailor make a solution to fit the problem, and it works every time!

A hotel in downtown San Francisco was having major issues with their drain lines and sump system, as many do. I worked directly with the engineering team to help identify their maintenance challenges and our relationship began by us tackling their biggest problem first, the kitchen main drain line. We installed two BIO-Amp units on this line in efforts to reduce or even eliminate the accumulation of grease and organic build-up that is generated in mass production kitchens. The success of these units made such an impact on their operations that two additional units were installed in a satellite kitchen.
